Job Description

Sante Social is looking for a dedicated bar professional to join our team as a Bartender Manager. We are seeking someone who is experienced and comfortable working a bar and who is interested in becoming a member of a small, collaborative hospitality team.

You will be expected to lead the Santé’s bar program and menu execution as well as general bar management. We are looking for people who are creative, dependable, warm, personable, detail-oriented, and genuinely excited about wine and cocktails.

Responsibilities

• Ordering, inventory and selecting liquor, beer, and all alcohol
• Support in wine tasting and ordering
• Conducting occasional staff training
• Help create & manage cocktail programs
• Maintain strong knowledge of our wine and beverage offerings and communicate them comfortably to guests
• Take orders, craft cocktails, pour wine and maintain a clean and organized service environment
• Assist with opening and closing procedures
• Support inventory management, stocking, and organization
• Assist with occasional private events, wine tastings, pop-ups, guest chef dinners, and other special programming
• Step into different roles during service based on the needs of the business

What We’re Looking For

• 2-3 years as a bartender or bar manager 
• Hospitality experience in a restaurant, wine bar, cocktail bar, tasting room, or similar environment
• Wine knowledge and an interest in continuing to learn
• Genuine enthusiasm for food, wine, beverages, and hospitality
• Someone who anticipates needs and makes every guest feel genuinely cared for.
• Comfortable learning multiple positions and jumping in wherever needed
• Reliable, organized, and professional
• Experience with ordering through PLCB

We are especially interested in candidates with an interest in or knowledge of:

• Natural, low-intervention, and small-production wines
• Foraging and wild ingredients
• Fermentation
• Preservation and traditional foodways
• The slow drinks movement
• Amaro, bitters, vermouth, and other traditional or low-ABV beverages
• Seasonal cooking and ingredients
• Sustainable and locally focused hospitality
