BIM MODELER
Location: Greater Charlotte, NC Area (On-Site)
• Salary: $75,000 - $100,000 annually
Our client, a well-established, employee-owned electrical contractor with operations across multiple states, is seeking a BIM Modeler to join its growing engineering team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys collaborating on complex commercial electrical construction projects while utilizing industry-leading Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering and project teams to develop, coordinate, and maintain accurate BIM models throughout the project lifecycle.
This is an on-site position based in the greater Charlotte, North Carolina area.
• Create, maintain, and update Building Information Models (BIM) throughout the project lifecycle.
• Set up new project models while ensuring compliance with established BIM standards.
• Perform model quality control and resolve modeling conflicts and coordination issues.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings and perform clash detection using Navisworks.
• Generate project deliverables, drawings, and model outputs as required.
• Provide technical BIM support and troubleshooting to project teams.
• Collaborate with the BIM Manager to improve modeling standards, workflows, and training initiatives.
• Ensure models remain accurate, coordinated, and aligned with project requirements.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience using Autodesk Revit.
• Experience with Navisworks and BIM coordination workflows.
• Working knowledge of ANSI drafting standards.
• Understanding of electrical construction or electrical design principles preferred.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to team members with varying levels of experience.
• Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Associate degree or coursework in Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD), Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred, but not required.
• Experience supporting commercial electrical construction projects.
• Previous involvement in BIM coordination and multidisciplinary project environments.
• Electrical industry experience is a plus; however, candidates from other construction disciplines with strong Revit experience are encouraged to apply.
